How This Singapore Salary Calculator Works

This calculator estimates your take-home salary by deducting employee CPF contributions from your gross monthly salary. It also provides a simple annual income tax estimate based on Singapore resident individual income tax brackets.

For Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents from the third year onwards, the CPF employee contribution rate for employees aged 55 and below is 20% for monthly wages above S$750. CPF contribution rates are different for older employees.

What Is CPF in Singapore?

CPF stands for Central Provident Fund. It is a compulsory savings scheme for Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents. Employees contribute part of their salary to CPF, while employers also contribute an additional amount.

CPF contributions help fund retirement, healthcare and housing needs. For employees, CPF reduces monthly cash take-home pay, but the money goes into CPF accounts.

Singapore Salary Example

If your monthly gross salary is S$5,000 and your employee CPF rate is 20%, your estimated employee CPF contribution is S$1,000. Your estimated monthly take-home pay before income tax would be S$4,000.
